Coaching is available at Seacourt free of charge for both groups and individuals during our regular club nights. Just put your name on the list and you will be given a lesson. If there isn’t time on that particular night, you will be given priority at the next session.
Free coaching for fencers seeking improvement
A warm up and footwork session usually takes place in the badminton hall at about 8.30pm before fencing begins at 9pm. Coaching then takes place throughout the evening from our qualified fencing coach who covers lessons in foil and épée. Coaching is for all standards of fencer from beginner through to experienced fencers – we all still have something to learn!
Coaching from a BFA Regional Coach
Gordon Daniels is a BFA Regional Coach in foil, but also coaches épée. He has considerable experience coaching both weapons to a high standard and is the principal Junior coach at Seacourt Fencing Club. Gordon is a great believer that you need to master good technique to be a competent fencer and his coaching will ensure that you receive a good grounding in the technical elements of this disciplined sport.
