Thursday 6th June is a usual club night for Southampton Epee Club, with the exception this week of the club coach Andrew Norris organising a friendly against ourselves and Reading Club. We put in two teams (dragging in a couple of outsiders when team mates fell ill or had ferries to catch).
Both Reading and Southampton Epee entered three teams each which included reserves! P&S A won two of the three rounds and P&S B won one. The final ‘results’ put Reading 3 and 2 in first and second respectively, with P&S A coming third and stopping Reading taking all three top spots!
I think I speak for all and everyone had a good time. It was great to fence some different people and have some team sprit along the way. Hopefully some return matches will be able to take place.
